[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-01-03 AT 08:42 PM (GMT)]Its from IL-2 Sturmovik. Oleg Maddox is the boss man.
Hmm. That works. This is snapper, but I can’t log in as such. MoggyC and Kev35 are also having problems (been 24 hours for me). Anyone else having problems posting / logging in? please email me at snapper35@hotmail.com . Thanks. (or have we been banned?)

I’d say the whole thing was a screen capture from a flight sim, that’s a smoke trail to the right. Could well be Olegs handywork though, with a good graphics card in your fast PC IL-2 is that good.
Nice one munnst.

No, I agree, it does look like a scene from a flight simulator, more so for some reason on the 109.

I’d say it’s quite obvious that both of those are from a computer simulator.

Haven’t heard of Oleg before? I suppose that figures. The habits of information exchange and restriction in Russia still come into play a lot.
Oleg Maddox:
Made his money as a software developer I believe. Turned his attention to getting some of the Russian warbirds into peoples hands – he is the force behind the amount of people flying IL-2 Sturmoviks these days. He has all sorts of Russian and German aircraft (so far he has left the US / UK / Japanese ww2 aircraft scene to others – though he has got P39’s done, and is working on P40’s too I believe, and is building a P51 panel currently for certain.)
Oleg is very well respected by those who fly his planes, as he is always prepared to roll up his sleeves when they need patching, or bugs fixed. In fact, he seems to be incredibly accessible to all.
Thats about all I know, as I have only recently made his acquaintance.

Hi all
Anymore details about this Oleg fellow ? English surname ? . I have my contact in Russia , involved with historic aviation and he has never heard of him.
Photo definitely looks computer generated to me !
Happy New Year

A 262? I know he had a BF-110 coming into play shortly, but I thought that was his only new Messerschmitt project. A bit of a Kermitski Weeksovich is our Oleg.

Well spotted, apparently he is rebuilding a 262! 🙂

Probably bad scanning technique scooter.
Isn’t that the Gustav operated by Oleg Maddox in Russia? Rarely seen in the skies over here. Don’t recognise the P51 though – is that his too? I hear he has quite a stable to play with.
