New 747 Order.

Boeing received an order for six B744ER today from GPR (Guggenheim Aviation Partners). First delivery is scheduled for the end of 2006 and last airframe is to be delivered during 2008’s first semester.
Long live the 747! 🙂

Is that for real? Your driveway is taller than the tallest hill in the Netherlands!

I’m thinking about taking one of them, but I’ll have to wait and see if I get that raise first. 😀

Any idea who the operator(s) will be?

Educated guess: Martinair Cargo. They did announce an intention to order four new B747-400SF’s through Guggenheim. First one to be delivered november 2006 and the last one late 2008.

Assuming that MP will indeed take them, there are two UFO orders left. Do note though that MP ordered regular 747Fs, not ‘ERFs. So this order may not be related to MP after all.
