Reminds me of Fly Globespan, or am I just thinking of the Globespan 767, Air India leased for the winter in it’s hybrid scheme ?

I would like if they would add Indian flag to be seen like draped over the plane. That would be looking very cosy in a patriotic sense. I hope you all got my point.

cheers

Air India new livery: some estimate illustrations by Lila Design

Note: these are just first impressions as there are no detailed real photopictures yet available at the time this reply is posted. Lila Design did not create the new Air India livery but just posted its estimate illustrations for this discussion forum.

It’s ok but i’d prefer the tail to be completely red with the Centaur centralised and enlarged in a metallic gold similar to Virgins metallic silver.I’d retain the stylised windows for sure and i’d maybe change the titling for billboard style titles either side of the fuselage in the same metallic gold.
Lets hope the next to pull out their finger for a long overdue change might be either Olympic or Lufthansa maybe.

I think it’s quite majestic and not too overbearing

Definitely better than the old one, the red engines add more interest to it. All in all it’s smarter and more modern than the old scheme which was beginning to look a bit too old, but they could have done more to improve it.:o

This is a great improvement on what was an otherwise dated scheme. It’s more international and business like, in my opinion, yet retains the vividness of Indian culture – especially that unique red.

Now if only Olympic would update their scheme (very dated, flat and boring, in my opinion).

The red or maroon… which was mentioned earlier by someone is chosen because it represents the stone used in the Sun Temple, in Konark.

Yep, apparently, we should all have a vast, indepth knowledge before posting an opinion about a bit of paint.

Still don’t like it…the red is the wrong colour and the centaur (aka ‘bit of gold’) should be slightly higher.:diablo: :diablo:

 so are you saying that we need to know a fair bit about a topic before we can reply? Besides, Indian culture isnt one of the easiest things to understand so its likely that not many people will know what that ”gold bit” was/is.

Anyway its only an opinion and if our younger members of 13/14 dont know what the gold bit is then they dont know what the gold bit is. . .

. . .im confusing myself now, so ill shut up lol 🙂

People have a right to an opinion, I’m not saying any different.
But calling things stupid or “gold bit” lacks a little in the way of respect and shows a lack of knowledge. IMO.
I thought the general idea was that People educate themselves on a subject if they want to comment, even if just a little?
I’m simply called for a little thought in the comments. Not a change in opinion.

So your problem is purely to do with words and how they’re used? You see, my problem with this is quite simply your spectacular level of hypocrasy. How can you possibly have a problem with other people expressing their opinions the way they do when you word so many of your replies with such a disgraceful tone of arrogance? Do YOU ever consider how YOUR words come across to other people and how they may be interpreted, or do you simply let your fingers type the words without even a hint of a second thought? Do you even care?

I think a wee bit of self-reflection may be needed on your part.

Paul
