Whilst wandering past TFC hangar at Duxford today a container was being loaded or unloaded I couldn’t tell which from the engineers swarming around it.
Does anyone know what the aircraft is? No one would tell me when I asked, most unusual. I t appeared to be a single seater of some sort but without any markings. Battery was flat so I couldn’t take a picture……..

There WAS life outside Duxford. Until the Red Lion’s chef hit it with his car and served it up for Moggy.

OH PLEASE!
Dunno. As long as it ain’t a bloody TF-51 arriving I don’t mind. Whatever it is coming it’s good. Hope it’s nothing going. Please don’t be Princess Elisabeth going.
So, if it’s arriving, whats not been seen flying for a while, and may be up for grabs. And if it’s going, what is being restored and is ‘naked’. And not in it’s usual place (unless there’s storage somewhere out of the public gaze?)
In your dreams mate. Much as I would love to see one (even better, see one fly) I don’t think so somehow do you?

This is what I know:
Last Sunday there were two Yaks in the hanger. This Sunday there was only one.
The container outside does not contain the TF-51.

I thought that went in the week, this sounds like another container
By: Chris G - 7th December 2003 at 22:32
Bloomin ‘eck, how do these people find the time?
I thought I knew what was where at Duxford, sort of. I saw a yak in the hangar but didn’t check on the second one I didn’t have time to stay ands see if it was coming in or going out. Maybe someone one was at Duxford in the afternoon and could comment on progress?
Goes with out saying I hoped it was an arrival!

on http://homepage.ntlworld.com/mclaydon/newsframe.htm is is reported that one of the YAk-3s in TFC has hanger has gone. Is it true that the OFMC yak-3 has gone to New Zealand to be rebuilt?
By: Chris G - 7th December 2003 at 22:18
There wern’t any engines in the container but it didn’t look like a p.38.
Whoops, hope I haven’t spoiled a surprise!

I suppose it could be the Friedkin TF-51,which was dismantled during the last month.Beyond that I’m at a loss.
There was previously another container which I believe that went in.
