Hi. I’m a part time aviation artist living in the UK. I’ve just finished a painting featuring 603 Sqn Spitfire MkI’s and would really appreciate any comments.

I do hope you dont take offence at my nit pricking but since you asked here goes, I think the nose is to blunt, the tail wheel a tad to large and perhaps the tailplane is a trifle to far forward of the fin, having said that only a spitfire fan would notice so I would still give you 98/100. Dont ever give up.

Love the 603 Sqdn Spit – just a bit out of my price range, though!

Spitfire painting
Hi. I’m a part time aviation artist living in the UK. I’ve just finished a painting featuring 602 Sqn Spitfire MkI’s and would really appreciate any comments. Matt Curtis
Hello Matt
Do you mean a further painting of 602 (City of Glasgow) squadron Spitfire Mk 1’s as the top one on show “champing at the bit” is of 603 (City of Edinburgh) Squadron, as you state yourself. Have you forgotten to add it to the site ?
That is really good – as are the others.
cheers
Allan
