If Mike DA Mustang had been made in the 50’s 60’s or 70’s we would all be raving about, it reminicing about how it got us interested in aviation.
I actually enjoyed the trailer at least the aircraft were fairly accurate renditions of the real thing.I would encourage any youngsters to give it a go [i will watch it !].

If the warbird movement as we know it is to survive ~ we need to be attracting the next generation of pilots / engineers / ground crew / volunteers etc.
If we get our own version of ASBtv’s “Mike Da Mustang” ~ maybe that’s a good thing !
It may not be to “our” taste ~ but the chances are if you’re reading this thread ~ you’re NOT part of the target audience it’s intended for anyway …..

Don’t worry its a family story about a cute little plane called ‘Spity’ and his best friend and side kick called ‘Hurri’ against a naughty foreign plane called ‘Emil’
I might agree, but it’s being made the former head of Disney UK.
So it will probably be something “edgy” along the lines of “Trainspotting”, with Ewan McGregor walking around without pants. 😮
Or with your original concept, “Spity” and “Hurri” will be in a domestic partnership, and because of EU rules with germany now a partner, “Emil” can’t be bad, just misunderstood. 🙂

Oh dear, Oh dear. The mention of the words Walt Disney, despite the word “former”, in any sentence fills me with forboding

Throw in a couple of smaltzy forgettable songs… and a collection of soft toys and you have a hit

The mention of the words Walt Disney, despite the word “former”, in any sentence fills me with forboding and the names of the team are so unforgetable in avaition history, I’ve forgotten them already. I just hope some of ‘our’ recogonised names are consulted but Pork Wings will probably be on the menu first.

Excellent…. we can have a 300 posting thread about it after :diablo:
I’m old enough to remember the old Raymond Baxter documentary, a two parter if memory serves from the early 70’s.
