John P,
Is this your Beaufort? If not where did this one go?
I took this shot in Ian Whitney’s back yard in Romsey, north of Melbourne, in 1987.

Your webshots are firing on all cylinders now John , excellent photos too. What’s a Lincoln? anything like a Lancaster but a bigger restoration job? 🙂

Hi Anne
Two Turrets
One is the standard Beaufort turret and the second is the Lincoln Turret (Ooops let that slip why would we need one of those…. Bad boy John)

Top photos. One thing that has got me wondering. In your Beaufort photos there is a picture of what looks like a Martin turret copula (DSC0061). Do you know if this is for another restoration or were some Australian Beauforts fitted with this type of turret in place of the Bristol B.IV or B.V turrets?

First page worked, the second didn’t. But that’s Webshots for ya 😉
I had a look at the Beaufort when I went up there in June. Was supposed to go back later and take photos but it nevre panned out that way. BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTT
Just booked a ticket to Brisbane today in Jan to go and shoot a pair of Yak-52s and will not leave this time without getting some photos of it this time.
P.S. I hope to have the uplaod function back on line tonight sometime. Any chance of popping a Beaufort and Kittyhawk image online so I have one in the database.
Cheers
Glenn
