New Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar opened by Spitfire Ace

Flight Lieutenant Rodney Scrase DFC opened the new Biggin Hill Heritage hangar at Biggin Hill yesterday,other veterans including ATA pilot Joy Lofthouse were also in attendance.

I believe nothing is happening imminently with the Mossie, as I understand it they are not expecting it to arrive at Biggin till next year.

Fully concur it’s a fantastic facility and well worth a visit.

I visited last month before the opening and it is indeed a great facility with some interesting projects underway.

Lovely photo, PanzerJohn! I saw some great photos of the opening on Facebook, it looks a great facility. It’s going on my “Must Visit” list for when I get to the UK.

The new hangar also looks big enough for a Mosquito…has anyone heard anything more about the project they announced their involvement with in November? No response from them on social media to posts or messages on the subject.
