Not confirmed but this is supposed to be the new Bangladesh Biman livery when they get the new jets…

the AI 90s livery was actually changed after the general public made noise about it, and to be fair that was a horrible c/s.

What a shame, the new livery was stunning. It reminds me of the fuss over the Air India livery in the 90’s, they’ve finally found a compromise for livery change of course, but it took a long time (and involved the painting and then repainting of several aircraft).

I think someones done that image on Photoshop or something no? On account of the fact that G-YMMM is in the background mostly intact minus the tail. Wasn’t she broken up completely quite a while ago? Biman didn’t recieve their first B777 till January of this year correct? So how does that work?!
But in this image below dated April 2009 you can see the nose and rear tail section completely removed

According to the following article they are indeed reverting to the old livery though…….
The new branding (airline): Although the prime minister unveiled Biman Bangladesh’s new livery on only February 3, another cabinet decision has already scrapped the incoming corporate image because it is felt it does not represent Bangladesh nationhood clearly enough, opting instead to revert to the original “Balaka” crane. This is despite the fact that the first 777 has already been delivered in the new paint.
Confused? Me too 😀

They must have money to burn.

Looks like the new Biman livery was not appreciated, they are back to the old one.

I quite like it.
The font is a little unimaginative, however its size perfectly counterweights the tail.

Something still bugs me about these colours. I quite like the tail but the font/typeface used for the ‘Bangladesh’ text just doesn’t work for me and I think in terms of size, it might be a little too big!

The 777 looks very impressive in that new livery

Biman 777

Reminds me of Cathay Pacific.

What a waste of money. Looks awful and illustrates a total lack of imagination on the part of the “designer”. I have owned a 1/100 display model of B777 in Bimans current livery for many years and it looks stunning. Biman should leave well alone.

I don’t like either of the airline’s colour schemes – old or new – but I think one will look much better than the other on the new 777s when they arrive.

Looks okay but I think I prefer the old one.

Do you have a source for this? how trustworthy is it?
By: tenthije - 31st October 2009 at 14:06
That’s very nice and would be a big step up from their current livery.

Flash and subtle at the same time.:)
