From what I read in the PIA forums, PTV (Pak’s tele-broadcasting corp) showed updates to the B777 order, and in doing so, showed a model wearing the new livery. Since I haven’t seen it myself, I can only reproduce a narrative of what it looks like (since this is third-hand information, it could be wrong. I’ll truly hope that it is. Read on…)
Today on PTV News model of 777 in new PIA livery appeared during the news item announcing the signing of an agreement between PIA & Export-Import Bank of USA.
The 777 has white tail with PIA painted in green colour. Dark green PAKISTAN is painted in capital letters on forward fuselage just behind the cockpit. The font style of PAKISTAN is changed. I also noticed a wavy green stripe on aircraft’s all-white fuselage. The green stripe is applied just like the stripes are there on 777 in Boeing’s own colour scheme. I could not find PIA logo in stylised Urdu script on this model. The aircraft has all-white fuselage. The green colour belly is gone.
