I think one of the ways Jet2 is so successful is advertising.

Paris was announced Monday, by Wednesday, I saw at least 6 buses with Paris £24 on the side of them, and a big advertisment in the local T&A.

They have billboards everywhere, advertisment on the side of many Leeds and Bradford buses, and Even in Belfast, it’s full of adverts for Jet2.

I think you need such advertising to get anywhere, and Jet2 are doing a cracking jjob.

Great to see the Jet2 expansion growing slowly but surely – Geneva was popular last year, and extra rotations have been added, an extra Sat rotation on Ams, and increased winter services throught the programme, pluss the addition of CDG from Sept 1st. I could actually see an extra ski destination appearing possably to utilise the aircraft a little more…

As for LPL-PRG – working at LPL I know many people think this route would be sure winner – come on EZY!

Good for Belfast Airport, I’m glad that they have some new low-cost services rather than just NCL, GLA, EDI and so on.

now that sounds silly.

That’s another a.net ‘rumour’. Last time I checked nobody had given any credibal evidence or source to suggest it was true.

The easyJet spokesman was saying in the local media that more new routes from BFS were definitely on the cards, and he named Barcelona and Rome specifically as the sort of destinations people would enjoy getting to for short breaks. Looks good if it turns out to be true.

Looks likely that CO are interested. They had a party visit BFS last week to suss the place out before committing to anything. A 757 service would on paper appear to be the most likely starter.

Sounds likely ?

There will be 2 flights a day to Nice. Dunno if both started today but there will be one morning and one evening flight.

Re. Barcelona, doubt Iberia will start a BFS route but i do hope to see a New York service return soon

I wouldnt be so sure about that because Easy and Bmibaby are having a few problems with slots in Barcelona so 4 daily seems unlikely.Easy and Baby have dropped their flight from EMA to BCN not due to bad loads but because of slot problems.Maybe Iberia will discover Belfast because thy are unable to connect through LHR as BA dont fly to BFS from LHR anymore.Anybody esle anything to say on that?

We also have easyJet to Amsterdam.

I know it doesnt count but futura have a charter service in place during the summer for Barcelona but its acting as more of a scheduled service as alot of the passengers have been doing hotels etc themselves!

when easyJet open Barcelona (i know offically its a when not if) demand will be soo big that they will have a minimum of 4 return flights a day during the summer!

Just Jet2 to Prague as far as I know, surely theres a market for Paris, Barcelona and maybe Rome or Venice from Belfast.

Best of luck to both Belfast airports.
