Sunny Spain will be even more accessible to North East holidaymakers this summer as Newcastle International and easyJet today announced new daily flights to Majorca starting on 17 May.
The non-stop flights to historic and popular Palma will depart at 7.20pm daily, with one-way and return prices starting at £27.00 and £50.98 respectively.
The launch of the Palma scheduled service gives Newcastle International four daily flights to Spain in time for the summer, adding to existing flights to Barcelona, Alicante and Malaga. Palma will be easyJet’s 11th route from Newcastle since its low cost operation was launched at the airport in spring 2003.
Newcastle International commercial director Mike Luddy said: “The continued expansion of easyJet services from Newcastle International is great news for passengers. We’re very pleased to be able to provide this service to Palma for the busy summer season. Our other Spanish flights have proved very popular and Palma will no doubt attract a high level of bookings.”
Moira Findlay, easyJet’s Marketing Manager said: “I’m delighted that Palma is joining easyJet’s existing sunshine routes to Alicante and Malaga. This will give passengers in the North East an even greater choice of holiday destinations at great value fares.”

Thats fantastic news for NCL. Good day for Northern Airports.
It seems strange that NCL had 3.8 million passengers and LBA 2 million yet we have 1 more low cost route than EZY at NCL (Amsterdam,Geneva,Nice,Prague,Venice,Belfast,Palma,Murcia,Alicante,Malaga,Barcelona,Faro). Suppose thats because EZY also has LPL as a base though where as Jet2 focus on LBA.
