Fly Globespan’s first 737-800 touched down yesterday at Southend after delivery from Seattle.
I gather it’s going to have winglets added soon too ? 😀

Boeing do not, repeat do not fit the winglets. Other companies are contracted to do so.
I know Virgin Blue had quite a few 738’s delivered from Boeing without winglets only to have them fitted at a later date by the maintenance arm of Air NewZealand

I watched one the Globespan 737’s perform a Go-Around yesterday. I never heard the full coversation between crew and ATC, but it went something like – you never cleared us to land, or even pass us to tower. To which Approach said oh sorry breakdown in comms. For a few minumtes later there was some banter back and forth.

It did a flight from Malaga to Glasgow today arriving mid afternoon and left for Tenerife at 5-15pm tonight.
I hope to catch it again tomorrow morning leaving Glasgow one last time, got to get some slides of it pre Winglets attached.
Now it’s late March the sun is getting around far enough for shooting from the North side at Glasgow in the evenings.
