New FlyBe routes next week..

Just got my regular email from FlyBe, trying to flog me flights from Newcastle and Leeds Bradford, and it says more routes will be announced for winter next week, while the main text at the bottom refers to new routes anywhere, the text in the blue box further up the email, refers to new routes from Newcastle and Leeds. Could this finally held the start of the promised FlyBe expansion at these two airports?

Dont know where they will fly to, LBA was promised French destinations, but I would have thought they would have been more summer orientated.

Maybe ABZ? I dont know, anyone any idea?

Incidentally, the latest FlyBe route from LBA commenced today, Exeter, operating a once daily flight, arriving 15:35 BE643, departing 16:00 as BE644.

Hope it does well.

CWL-LPL is doing better i’ve been told, if ABZ gets taken up by flybe, i’m sure AWW might look at a different destenation eg Inverness possibly, but not drop CWL 😉

Isle of Man on behalf of Euromanx maybe? 😉

Wow, GLA would surprise me, but would be excellent, hope it would be double daily, would love to go spotting at eitherb GLA or EDI. (See, me not biased 😉 ).

Of course, I can already get to both these airports with bmi, but the fares from LBA are really expensive, due to the flights been full of Business PAX.

Flybe have a large billboard on the perimiter road to GLA that lists LBA as a destination. I would say the following for winter expansion:

ABZ to any of the following – BHX/EDI/EXT/GLA/NCL/NWI/SOU.

LBA to GLA/EDI.

I would say just ABZ for winter. Next summer would be a better time to launch French regional routes as you said. Maybe some frequency increases though? Or maybe Chambery or Salzburg for skiers?

Cant see them starting Chambery, just been announced by Jet2, I think LBA has skiing more or less covered on the loco front with Jet2 to Chambery and Geneva.

Wonder if Flybe on ABZ-LPL would foce Air Wales of the route and therefore maybe also CWL-LPL?
