New Kid On The Block

Hello folks, first post here and was wondering if anyone could take the time to let me know how I can get hold of an avatar and get it uploaded from my computer. Useless with computers… not much of a kid either I,m 43.
Am staggered by the quality of the pics on the site, I just dont get the time to get out to EDI to take photos and still have an SLR as me and digitals dont get on. I take it there is no way I can get my pics on the boards unless I can scan them.. then again I dont have a scanner!!!!

Welcome aboard. And … Have fun 🙂

To answer your question, there is already quite a bunch of subforums, so, there isn’t much of a chance to see more added into a near future. (Besides, as said, the interested population might be pretty low)

Welcome to the forum.
Re your suggestion – I doubt it’d get much population and we probably have enough already…
Again welcome and enjoy

How on earth did we end up with a Mike Oldfield thread?

Has anyone else here seen Tubular Bells performed live? 😀

I take it there was some Mike Oldfield on the wireless when you were registering! 95% of those that read this won’t know who he is! He was the guy that generated Branson his first million.

Not really… followed Oldfield since I was a boy and Five Miles Out having an aviation theme seemed the most apt nom de plume.
It was either that or Ginger God and I thought that was pushing it a bit far.
You could do a lot worse than listen to Oldfield, some of his stuff is stunning but some can be pants!!

Why d’you think Virgin named one of their 747’s Tubular Belle? 😉

It’s not an A340 though and that’s what Wys flies ya ‘tube’ ! 😀

An A346 named ‘Moonlight Shadow’ is what’s required.

Perhaps a Mike Oldfield themed A340 might be in the offing?
