Today Atlantic Coast Airlines announced their new LLC airline operation. ACA will now become Independance Air and will go head to head against United out of Dulles with a total of 45 Airbuses. They put in an order for 25 A319’s and 20 A320’s in addition to their current fleet of CRJ’s. Their remaining turboprops, J41’s, are being parked as I speak.

A friend of mine is a J41 captain at ACA and I’ve been trying to get a hold of her to see what the reaction was to the announcement. I guess they really did a full production with their launch today. It sounds like they unveiled the livery as well so I’m hoping she got some pictures.
