I read that a new long-haul airline is recruiting at Gatwick?
The rumor is that they plan to operate scheduled flights to popular longhaul leisure destinations in the US and Carribean with B767s and B777s. Apparently the airline’s being set up by AMC- the group that used to operate some of BA’s B777s onbehalf of JMC.
I heard they might be called ‘Hart Air’
any info.?

RE: New long-haul airline from LGW?
Hello there,
I’m not here to save the day and put you all out of your misery by revealing all, because nothing is showing up. I’ve searched for “HArt Air” and had no luck and checked out 2002 press releases from BAA.
The only *new* charter airline I could find which started operations at Gatwick from April 6th was called Astraeus (http://www.flyastraeus.com/intro.htm). They operate the 737-700 and the 737-300. Here’s what they say about their routes – “Astraeus intends to operate to a wide variety of destinations throughout Europe and the Mediterranean. Details of our destinations will be produced on this page in the near future”.
I hope someone can come up with an answer to this because it’s interesting stuff, something which I may benefit from in the future.
