“in 2005 an Austrian privateman and aviation enthusiast decided to build his own WW2 warbird, a Bf109G-6,
built after original plans, besides some original parts like the DB605, the rest is a complete newbuild.
in january 2012 the fuselage was finally built up and the engine installed

Old falcon seems to say no but it is an astronomical amount of effort and expense to go to and not fly it so i’m having a hard time believing it.
