On 25 August 2011 a memorial was dedicated at the former RAF Firbeck in South Yorkshire. It is the first memorial that is fully endorsed by the Airfield Research Group and it was down to the hard work of the ARG, in particular two of the committee members, Noel and Chris along with the land owner and numerous other people that this memorial has come about.
Those of you who look at the Airfield Information Exchange will know about the memorial and may well have been following the updates and looking at the RAF Firbeck Memorial website.
The thread on AiX is here and this shows details of the build and the dedication;

About 250 people turned out for the ceremony, there were Air Cadets, RBL, RAFA, Veterans, Guests of Honour, Local Villagers, Military Vehicles, Wreaths being laid and a flypast by a Tigermoth, all in all it was a very good day.
Here are a few of my photos from the day.

That looks like a decent memorial. Thanks for posting. Good to see that the weather was great during the unveiling.
