New Models.

Today I brought my first Star Jet models. I got them from My local ModelZone. £23.99 each, alot, but very much worth it.

I got a Bmi A320 G-MIDT, in the new colours. (Shown Below)

Both very detailed models. Tomorrow I hope to be getting another, an A320 of Thomas Cook.

Mark I have a few of the BA plastic Wooster models…

SA tail design on a 747-400
Botswana Animals and Trees on a 777
BA old colours on a 757
BA old colours on a Concorde.

In the Star Jets 1:200 range they are currently offering three BA models:

Ba 757 UK flag:

Mark L… they are only really better in terms of detail. No detail on these models is left out, for instance, on the Bmi A320, it bears a small Star Alliance logo, and all the do not step signs on the wings etc, as does the Swiss one. These models are EXACT replica’s.

T5… From What I can make out, these models are part Die Cast and part plastic. The fuselage being the metal part and the tail, wings and tail fins being the plastic parts.

The Dimentions of the model A320 are as follows:

Length (nose to rear): 20cm exact.
Wing Span: 17.5cm
Height: 6.5cm (to tip of the tail).
Height (mounted on stand): 12cm

The Dimentions for the Swiss A321 are as follows:

Length (nose to rear): 22.5cm
Wing Span: 17.5cm
Height: 6.5cm (to tip of the tail)
Height (mounted on stand): 14.5cm

Both models are of a 1:200 scale. And the each come in the own box, and on the back of the box it gives you the Specifications of that particular aircraft.

A330,

What is the approximate dimensions of the aircraft and what are they made of? I’m not too familiar with these professionally made, top quality models.

I collect the BA plastic ones that they sell on board the aircraft, and I notice that Starjets produce a BA A319 as well.
How much better are they than the standard Wooster ones?
