I don,t think it will be Marinell, what we don’t know of course is what the criteria is to be invited, maybe it’s a bit chummy or political who knows?

new Mustang at FL
As there are no flying F-82’s at the present time, and since the warbirds grapevine has mentioned nothing about one being packed up for ground transport across the Atlantic I don’t believe FL will have one.
Even though I would definately love to see one flying.
What has been at the show only once, and was really a pleasure to see, was an A-36 Apache/Invader.
I guess my friends & I will wait the couple of days and see whats new at FL.

Yes… an F-82 Twin .
Maybe a TF-82, wouldn’t that have 2 seats in each fuselage.
With the amount of Mustangs around couldn’t a restorer build 2 restoration projects into a Twin Mustang?

Janie has most definitely been there in the past. I have seen her.

Unless my memory is playing trick Marinell is no stranger to Legends either as I’m convincced she was there last year.
I think your memory are playing tricks on you. But remembering more Mustangs than were actually present can’t be all bad, can it? 😉
I just don’t think we will see that pair of Mustangs at Legends anytime soon.

could it be a 7/8th scale replica Mustang?
Unlikely given The Boss’es opinion of such things…. I believe the quote was “it smells of coffin”

I won’t be there so want to know:diablo:
I won’t be either, so couldn’t give a toss. Actually if I was going I wouldn’t either.

well if you do a bit of narrowing down…..
Scat IV attended whilst with RAC
Damn Yankee attended in 2002
Jumpin Jacques attended in 2003 and whilst based in France
Janie attended in 2003
Biltemas Cavelier Mustang attended last year
OFMC, BBD, Miss Velma,Nooky Booky, Old Crow,Miss Helen, and If we include Twilight tear are regulars.
Which leaves Marinell and The TF-51 based in Germany if I’m right.
Of course not taking into account anything from the States in which case i’ve made an ass of myself!!!

Janie was at Legends in 2002 and one day of 2003, I know she flew in on the Saturday morning of the 2003 show…

Unlikely, pretty sure I haven’t seen either of the Hammond Mustangs at Duxford, never mind Legends.
I’m happy to wait until next week.
“Legends proved that you don’t need a polished display routine to entertain – just get five or six Mustangs in the air, beat up the airfield with some low passes and watch the grins on the faces in the crowd. Special mention must go to Maurice Hammond and Robs Lamplough who, in ‘Janie’ and ‘Big Beautiful Doll’ respectively, kept the crowd at the western end thoroughly entertained in fine ‘beat ’em up’ style. Top marks!”
Quote from: http://www.airsceneuk.org.uk/airshow02/legends/legends.htm although I’m sure it would have been Rob Davies flying BBD.

Miss Velma is not a mystery and Marinell is not a TF-51G-ANPK
I know!- you asked “what about a TF-51? I was just pointing out that there is already one on site and that I would rather like ‘Marinell’ to be the mystery Mustang!:)
