The Diameter of the GE 90-93b is 134 inches (whereas the later 115b is 135 inches). The Diameter of the 737 fuselage is 151 inches
Metric that works out as:

GE 90 = 3.31 m
737 Fuse = 3.73 m

So its not exactly as wide, but pretty much and thats a staggering thought.
Although, if I am correct, that makes the GE90 just as wide as the DC-8, DC-9 (and later MD 80/90 series) and BAC 1-11 fuselage.

Correct me if my conversions are wrong. GE list their dimension only in inches. Boeing in meters so I’ve worked it out.
GE list the engine as 134 and 135 inches in diameter for the 94b and 115b respectively.

Boeing lists fuse width as 3.73 meters.

I calculated the figuers using 3.39 feet (40.68 inches) per meter.

The engines are the same diameter as the width of a 737’s fuselage. However wide that is, you tell me!
