New plane for Roman Abromavich

After about a year of conversion work Roman Abromavich has finally taken delivery of his newest aircraft. Previously he has had to make do with a 737:

Now he has moved up a league:

😮

Hope I can be seeing this at Farnborough soon!

Some time ago Abramovich declared in an interview that since he’s making so much for the russian economy he would expect the president Puting to give him a MiG 29 as present.. and I think he wasn’t joking..
Anyway, was Vladimir Putin a former military pilot or not?

Cheers

Alex

I believe Vladimir Putin started his government career with the KGB’s first directorate, an office in charge of foreign and political information gathering. He later became the agency’s director before finally moving into the upper echelon’s of the USSR’s ruling government. He was one of Boris Yeltsin’s protege before he gained access to his current post in 2000.

Evening folks,

Just got back from a weekend trip to AGP with Monarch Scheduled from LTN.

Guess what I saw taking off from LTN at around 3.30pm today whilst waiting for the car park bus… the very same 767 your talking about!

I have to say, the livery looks really great in reality. Lovely looking aircraft!

😀

Was aware it had spent some time in Basle but wasn’t aware it has been there since 03, which was when it was last photographed in YVR.

It was new from Boeing, assigned to Hawaiian but not taken up and stored in Vancouver for a while. Not sure where it was converted though, Hamburg I assume?

tch tch. formerly N595HA, operated by Global Jet, spent 12 months at Jet Aviation here in Basel.
