Dear readers,
the latest book about air war over french Ardennes during WW2 is soon available. This 120 pages book “Air war over the Ardennes, vol.2, january 1944 to june 1944” is published in french. It includes among 70 pictures (mostly photographs) plus 24 colour profiles.

Here is its (translated) presentation :
“1944, from january to june, air war operations increased and evolved.
While Allies were continueing to bomb the Reich, they also had to succeed in the coming Normandy assault. They had to disturbed german forces by weakening the Luftwaffe and breaking the german main arteries.
As it happened over many french areas, air activities over the Ardennes were intense : violent fights in january 1944, last days of the ‘Big Week’ late february, the death of Oberst Egon Mayer early march and Mezieres (Ardennes city) bombing in may.
All these events are described in this book. Also a special chapter is dedicated to the help provided by french inhabitants to dropped airmen over enemy territory. “
