So, since I let you off on the answers of the last one, here is another.
This one is far easier but I need to know:
The year
Location of photograph
Film
Pilot’s name
Name of character between the wheels
a/c reg.

Good question. Several answers.
Answer 1: Hopefully before the money runs out
Answer 2: Much quicker if people would do what they promise when they promise.
Answer 3: Three months (this is a standing joke with myself and Mick Oakey as all rebuilders seem to give this answer)
The fuselage is complete and done up to the cabin and most of that is done. The wings are complete, tail is all done, engine is on and being connected.
The fuselage just needs some wiring (just battery connections) and otherwise is complete to the firewall. I have to mod the oil tank, and finish connecting the engine. I need to work out how the baffles fit and get them made, modify the cowling ring so that it doesn’t foul the rocker covers and get the cowlings done. The prop is due any time and I just need to find a hot air box for a Warner Scarab.
It could be assembled within a month if some people would pull their fingers out but the lack of an airbox holds up the cowlings.
In plain English . . .
Answer 4: I havn’t got a clue.

I wondered what the other was too Kenneth… Parnell type? Assuming it is a UK built machine.

The following G-AE** aircraft were Stinson SR-9 B or D Reliants – VX, VY, XW, YZ and also G-AFBI
All de-registered.

I’d say the aircraft in the foreground is an early Stinson SR-9 Reliant (i.e. not a “gullwing” Reliant)? But what is the aircraft in the background..?

Very nice couple.Melvyn.
In the collection of photos posted via a link on another thread (can’t remember which one off the top of my head) there was this picture (hope link worked). The aircraft in the foreground appears to be G-AE?? It’s not yours in a previous life is it?

No. I can’t tell what it is. It has flaps which the Cloudster doesn’t and the bump cowl suggests a Waco.
Mine was NC25403 until it came over to supply an engine for a 504 replica (the one that was in the background of one of Janie’s pics on another thread).
Mine was G-BVLK until I decided that in-sequience was boring and changed it to EVLE.
Actually it shouldn’t be that difficult to trace what that was if you have the Air Britain regies book as there will not be that many 1930s-era American cabin planes with G-AE** reggies.

Doing pretty well but not there yet.
It was Booker and the bridge they flew under was at Stokenchurch on the then-unopenend M40.
The flying was done by Joan Hughes. The pilot in the pic is Polly Styrene but is pretending to be Alan.
I thought it was Brains between the legs (story of my life!) but it may have been Parker.
The film was Thunderbird 6 and the question I left out was how many days was the court case? I interviewed Joan Hughes about tweve years ago and she told me she spent three days in court until she was acquitted for dangerous flying.
You have not yet got the reggy and for those who are in the know it is still flying and I was having lunch with some of the group who own it last Saturday at Popham.

Check the link. Photos of the Tiger and the Thunderbirds with an explanation. Brains flew it at one point, Penelope too before Alan ended up landing it. Parker was the one in the struts and then the tree.
Nice work Septic 🙂

LOL as soon as I saw your post, I remembered that particular Thunderbirds show. I loved that series as a kid.
Alan was the pilot if I remember right. Tin Tin and Lady Penelope on the wings. Brains underneath in the landing gear struts? Seems like he ended up in a tree just prior to the ‘landing’
Talk about flashbacks 🙂

Based on the paintscheme I would say that could even be a Malmö Flygindustri MFI-9, the aircraft on which the Bölkow Bo 208 Junior was based, as it in my opinion looks very much like the standard MFI factory paintscheme.

It looks like a Bolkow to me…

Doesn’t look like an ARV to me, could be though. If it is one, then the photo is more recent than it looks!
By: Mark12 - 21st April 2004 at 15:19
Archer,
Is it an ARV Super 2?
If it is, I flew one of these about 15 years ago. Fantastic vision, your eye level was right on and just forward of the leading edge so you could see above and below the wing with slight head movement. Very high revving engine I recall.

Hmmm.
So no points for ‘Tiger Moth’ then.
Beats me.
