I’m going over to LDY on the 16th Dec for 2 days, birthday pi$$ up. Wonder what will happen if I book with them, will they still be there 2 days after their route starts???

I’ve already flown in the S340 might be interesting to fly in that small thing or the Embraer.

They are planning on using an Embraer E120 that seats 19 pax. Good idea

Easyjet and Flybe have 4 rotations a day each between GLA & BFS/BHD.
Flybe will have 1 GLA to LPL rotation daily, however press reports suggest that this and EDI to LPL will soon be seeing a frequency increase.
Belfast may work, when Gill did the route what was the competition like and how well did they do? If BE up Liverpool frequency, forget it

Loganair fly twice daily to SYY from GLA, daily to LDY and daily to IOM along with Euromanx who fly this route twice daily. Doubt these routes will work, perhaps summer saturdays to IOM

Highland Airways Tried taking on BA Cityexpress on the GLA-SYY routes last year. They lasted less than 6 months on the route. Winter is not the time of year to be launching flights to the Highlands and Islands from the central belt of Scotland. Agreed, bad time to launch

Ryanair have been wanting to launch PIK-SYY flights for a while, but disagreements with Highlands and Islands Airports Limited have prevented this from being launched. Would be the killer blow to the SYY route

They are planning on using an Embraer E120 that seats 19 pax.

Some of their routes may work from Ayrshire using this aircraft, but they will be up against well established and well known to the public competition in trying to attract pax from the Greater Glasgow area.
