Yesterday arvo at about 3pm we spotted a monoplane DeHavilland Moth of some sort over Medley to the West of Oxford. Hopefully someone was appreciating the history, as Geoffrey’s grandfather lived at Medley and loaned him the money to start the company.

A couple for you, the first was seen whilst shopping in Eastleigh, you forget just how close Southampton Int Airport is. The second (third and fourth) were taken whilst walking our dogs along the Boscombe Down perimeter fence. I’m not sure what it is, it was wearing an ETPS tail fin but I didn’t think they had any BAe 146’s (if indeed that’s what it is).

As G-FFOX was displaying at Shuttleworth I put two & two together and thought this was the same aircraft, that’s all. But thanks for the replies.

Isn’t G-BXFI based at North Weald now? Could this have been the Hunter you saw?

G-FFOX displaying at Shuttleworth I presume.
Is this aircraft still flown by Hunter Flying Ltd & kept at North Weald or is it based at St Athan as I could not find up to date info on the net.Thanks./QUOTE]
The aircraft is owned and operated by the Hunter Flight Academy, it is now based at St Athan.
Thanks alanl, I got that info from the net. The reason I asked it was late in the evening when I saw it and it was flying the opposite direction from Wales, unless it was over-nighting at NW?

The Grace Spitfire at 18-10 and near dusk over Bildeston Suffolk (2 miles south of Wattisham airfield). Never seen or heard a Merlin so late, quite gave me a start as I was locking the chicken house, but what a sight and sound. She/he would have been landing at Bentwaters or is it Woodbridge in near darkness!
