I’ve now had a reply from Stow Maries, and they have mounted the propeller.
It’s the propeller I gave the Rayleigh ATC squadron, about 40yrs ago. After initially wanting to sell it,
they now have it on loan to Stow Maries Airfield.
I post the pictures by kind permission of the curator.

I’d say the the asking price of £2m pretty much removes any “risk” of someone buying the aerodrome purely for profit.

The Stow Maries supporters have raised nearly all the £2m or whatever (no doubt that includes lottery and the Angels’ award prize)
to enable the airfield to be bought, thus removing the risk of someone not as committed buying it?
That’s quite an achievement.
We shall be going later today. Hopefully the grass strip will have dried, and the wind calmed down a bit.

Thank you. It’s a marvellous project and deserves wider support. The new website should help to achieve that.
Just realised that the original site still exists and there is a link to it.
