I was at a business convention here and met a guy from a company based here that use what is essentially video running at 20fps off ANY current security cameras. They then let you view via there website.
Now i spoke to them about putting this into airports and offer like a pay per view subscription for like a year for £X. They are actually very very keen as they would talk to the airport about using a current broadband connection and then link into to any current CCTV but cameras dont cost much. The CCTV is VERY fluid i was very impressed. Resolution is amazing on a 15″ laptop and can be run from PDAs too!
They want me to suggest a UK airport for them to approach to start the ball rolling.
I was thinking MAN since big airport so good few angles and traffic so people might like this service also they are known to be spotter friendly?
Views comments opinions please.
Video wouldnt be good enough for airliners.net but clear enough WITH zoom so that you can read registrations etc.
