New US Naval Radars

It looks like initial plans will field initially field EASR with LHA-8, then the new Kennedy, and the two top choices are either a navalized derivative of G/ATOR radar used by the USMC or a modified AMDR system.

The EASR seems to be developed for new large non-Aegis ships and as well as back fitting on older ships. Looks like it will be fitted onto LX(R) outright now instead of using the National Security Cutter TRS-3D as originally proposed (so much for keeping it simple…); I suspect the LPD-17’s, LHD’s 4 through 8, and LHA(R) flight 0 will be fitted as they come in for modernization work. Then CVN-74 to 77.
