Hi,
Just thought I’d give you a taste of all of the pics I’ve taken of the airshow.
I’ve yet to sort them out but this one is one of my favourites.
Wow, the La-9 doesn’t half shift along:)

We do indeed have WW2 re-enactors. They had a period flatbed truck with WAAF singers doing ’40’s numbers all day.
“Pack up your troubles in your old kitbag”…
The Spit pilot was Lee Proudfoot & Ray Hanna
FG-1 Corsair was Keith Skilling
The 2 P-40s were John Lamont and Garth Hogan
P-51s were Steve Taylor and Graham Bethell
Stu Goldspink flew the Hurri
John Lamont flew the La-9
Nigel Lamb flew the Spit as well
Hope this helps, Dave
🙂

So we do have World War Two RNZAF re-enactors here in NZ. Cool.
Who was the Corsair pilot Chris?
Cheers for all those great photos, almost like being there.

and the last for tonight (more to come:) )
The only surviving flyable Corsair that served with the RNZAF.
One of this particular Corsair’s original pilots was actually at the show would you believe ??

Fantastic photos Chris, just excellent.
One point, that Vampire seems to me to be in RNZAF colours – note the NZ serial. In fact the red and yellow markings next to the Kiwi roundel also denote 75 Sqn, RNZAF.
I think it is the other Vampire in Aussie colours, isn’t it? There are two T11’s flying in NZ and I believe both were at the airshow.
