FKM (Flugklubbur Mosfellsbaejar) lunched a new web page in the 1st of Desember. I think we have managed to work out most of the bugs regarding the english part of the page, so I think it is a good time to advertise 😉
If you like to have a look, the link is http://www.fkm.is
Not all of the parts are ready, particulary the homebuilding page, but we are getting there!

Sigurjón

I´ve gone through all the pictures for TF-CUP, and I can not find any that are incorrect. Can you please point me in the right direction
Thanks for the info. Photo number 50 (52myndir) is a photo of G-BCYS, possibly an earlier identity for TF-CUP?:)

Regarding the NAS Keflavik, it has been pretty much run down. The living quarters have been converted into housing for university students, and the big hangars have been converted into commercial hangars. The hardened shelters that used to house the F-15´s are still there and are used occasionally by Nato detatchments of fighters that come here for training.

Nice looking web site, look forward to more English and information on restorations (like a Proctor:D).
On the photopages, the photo for TF-CUP would seem to be incorrect.
As the man on the spot so to speak, could tell us what the situation is regarding the USAF base on the Island, is it mothballed or in limited use?

Pretty crappy at the moment.
Some 74-400 coming on line, but a lot of lost contracts with the A-300 and the 74 classic.
Quess that means you didn´t have a call from that kind man at the Chief Pilots office after I forwarded your CV.
At the moment, we are just happy to have our jobs. If you have a 74 classic rating, you could try talking to them as they are currently (about a month ago) short of two crews. That´s all I´m afraid!
