To make a bit room inside hangar 2 for the TSR.2 displays & exhibits for the ‘Tribute to the TSR.2 Day’ (See Here) being held at the museum next Satuday 27th September, the Gannet AEW3 has been temporarily move outside of hangar 2 and a few of the other exterior airframes have been shuffled around to new parking spots so a quick trip oop north to take advantage of the new photo opportunities.

Hope you’ll have the Aeroplane Monthly Icons special on the TSR2 in stock for the event? Part of Key Publishing’s empire now π
Theyβre not in stock at present β the TSR2 Event Team had some dialogue with the author, but when they tried to send an email with a Trade Table booking form the email bounced.

I was there on a grim misty Wednesday and saw the team wangling the Gannet out (Carefully through the cut out!)
Nice to see Brooklands let their cockpit travel north.
mmitch.
The ‘Varsity Cut-Out’ proves very useful for situations like that encountered on Wednesday – as for the TSR2 cockpit I know that everyone at NAM is extremely grateful to Brooklands and indeed all of the other organisations who have loaned exhibits for the event next weekend! π

I’m glad to see that you were blessed with a little autumnal sunshine yesterday Brian – a good set of images as ever; and at least I can now see where they moved the Sea Vixen to! π
