Newark air museum

Went to duxford for the weekend had a fantastic 3 days there camping nearby and on the tuesday had to come home up the A1 back to leeds.

Thought id call in at Newark for a rest and a look round, i paid the expensive £6.75 entrance fee and what did i find there but “scrap”!

Thats the best way to describe 95% of these aircraft because thats how they look very unkept paint very faded if any, the harrier looks good and thats about it.

Newark why not scrounge some old paint from the MOD and get the air cadets/scouts etc to camp out for the weekend give them all a brush and crack on!

A hand painted lightning would look far better than the thing you have, and paint the vulcan that may take a little longer than a weekend! lol.

It’s a bit of a shame really some folk rave on about this museum but i was dissapointed it took me 20mins to get round and nowt of interest. i know im gonna get slated but i don’t care.!
