Hi everyone , my name is Steve , I love fast cars and warbirds but can only afford to take pictures and build/collect models of them ,
My earliest memories of aircraft are from the south coast , shoreham airshow , terrorised by a vulcan bomber , I was only young , and shows along brighton sea front , I remember looking down on the red arrows from the raised roadway .
Family moved to Bedfordshire in the late 70’s , in the Henlow , Old Warden , Chicksands triangle , airshows galore all summer long .
I have been spectating at various motorsport events for the past 20 years , usually historic meetings or GT/endurance races , more often than not old aircraft have been buzzing around as well .
My interest in warbirds was rekindled at the Goodwood revival meeting when I saw the fighter collections’ Corsair , P51 and Tigercat amongst others .
Last year I went to my first ”legends” and now I can’t wait for the new season to start .

Welcome on board
As long as you have a tin hat and a flak jacket you’ll be safe.
However much you think you know there will always be someone that knows a lot more. So prepare to be twatted for saying what you think is sensible or knowledgable. Oh and if your pocket instamatic doesn’t have an 800mm lens don’t bother posting any photos from DX or OW.
If you have any good looking family members, feel free to bring them along to airshows so that the spotters can leer and dribble a lot.
If you can demonstrate that you are as mad as a Snapper and as rabid as a EN830 then you will do just fine here.

Welcome Spike.
I wouldn’t mention it if you have spare room or you will find you’ve gained a lot of new friends here once the Old Warden season kicks off 😉
