Hello everyone
First post on board. Couple of things if I may. As part of my ever increasing job of clearing a few sites out I am now in need of parts of the AP1086 to help match up things I am locating. I know I could always ask about them on here but I would literally be days putting them in (see blog link below). Quite a number of people over here in Australia already know about this cleanup (Hi Mark!)
Anyway, I;ve been trying to get a hold of Parts 5 and 6 specifically. Over here it would appear that none of the major museums have it (though still waiting on answer from Pt Cook after four months) and to get it from the UK is quite difficult for some reason. Any suggestions?
For those of you that may be interested in the project I have been doing I have a blog up and running. Its well overdue for an update but there are many entries already going back to the start of the year. Its not a restoration but more of a rescue/clearout of many parts

I found out yesterday that a lot of parts from the shed are already installed in aircraft at the Australian War Memorial They include
Bristol Beaufort
DH9 (a WW1 light bomber)
Lancaster, both currently on display in the Anzac Hall
CAC Wirraway and the de Havilland Mosquito in the Aircraft Hall
and
Spitfire in the WW2 gallery includes a few electrical components.
Anyway thats enough rambling. Those over here who knew of Hudsons’ Stores in Melbourne – thats the new place I’m clearing out at the moment. Mostly vehicular (Blitz, Ford, Dodge) but a pile of Aircraft Batteries (Mainly for Wirraway, Liberator and Mustang) and some wheels still there.
Cheers for now – any help greatly appreciated!

In 11 years and 6 months I seem to have posted 391 times (it says)! So there must be something more to it, though who knows with this ‘new’ forum.

I think you need to have made 10 posts before the functionality is released to you

Can anybody explain how or why some poster have a “Send private message” in the block to the left of the message see Aircraft Clock’s message three above, and others don’t, eg; Robert Fraser’s message two above? Or mine I suppose. How can we enable private messaging?
