Newcastle meet

I’m flying up to Newcastle from Stansted for the day on the 27th of March just to take some time off studying for my ATPL for the day. I’m flying with easyJet and if anyone would like to join me you’d be most welcome. I’m leaving STN at 11:50 and returning at 19:15. I didn’t fancy the early start so I’ve gone for the mid morning departure.

Anyone up for it? Cost me £28, if you get the earlier flight it’s £25.

Well guys, sounds great, Mark and I could fly up and then Sandy, Ren could drive down. Andrew, I just checked easyJet flights from Aldergrove to Newcastle, it’s about £25!

Hey Moondance, 2 things to point out here ! , firstly. Round these parts (Gods own Yorkshire) Everywhere you look there are hills. and secondly, by popular opinion, we Yorkshire are too tight to spend money and pay for a runway extention…. if it aint broke etc….

Its more likely to be called a quiet out of season saturday :o. Summer seasons are usually quite tasty on a Sat – btw as well as being sat on top of a hill with a runway accross the prevailing wind i would like to add there the chevin at the end of rwy 14 you forgot to mention – doh!

forgot to add i looked at using the NCL EZY service to STN on the current £1.99 offer – but it’s 5 hours on a coach in a normal 2 hour car journey – i think we’ll give that a miss! Blackpool wins again – 3 times in one visit to this site i’ve sang BLKs praises now

you can still sit in the cafe area upstairs in the terminal, getting reg’s etc without any problems. u get a fairly good view of the whole field from up there – the only problem being an obscured view because of the departures hall which is significantly lower vertically than where the food area is, moving away you.

if you take alook at www.airnorth.co.uk theres a few spotting places featured that are off the field and within walking distance from the terminal.

if you’ve any questions martin, or anyone else, just post back and i’ll do my best to answer…
