newest thing in aircraft parts restoration Boot polish!

Ok I know what your thinking but I recently piced up a couple of items one of which was an oxy economiser. Overall condition was pretty good with some wear on the outside casing and minor scratches/fading. I thought about repainting it after cleaning and thought well that will take away from originality but it does look a bit dull. I then thought about black boot polish and after trying it on a test section, it came up like new! I gave the whole part the “treatment” and was very impressed by the finish of it!
SOmething cheap and easy to use to renew black A/M parts?:D
