In about 20 years Pensacola could be like Venice, so the Mars will be handy when KPNS (Pensacola airport) becomes a Seaplane Port :p

Hi All,
I know this may sound daft but is not the moustachioed one building a rather large new hanger across the apron from his others ?

As long as that Floridian gent has a big enough shed to keep a Mars. That’s a big plane to tie down in a hurricane.
And reading the link that seems to be the reason why Pensacola has stepped back.
“They just have higher priorities where they want to spend their money and time. They didn’t have the budget to build a hangar to store the aircraft,”

Hi All,
Well I assume that we all know where one will end up with a certain moustachioed businessman who likes drinking Rum in the buff…:D
If we are all honest about these beautiful aircraft as I assume Mr Coulson is being, he would rather see them in the best places available when he has to part company with what has been a long relationship with a lovely aircraft. I would think it would be a difficult decision to let them go on a personal level,
on a business level it wouldn’t the numbers are not adding up (I assume) with keeping them airworthy and just sitting there sadly.

I thought one of these was destined for the US Naval Aviation Museum at Pensacola. From the story it looks like this is not the case anymore.
