Emerald Airways new colour scheme is being applied to 2 aircraft at the moment. G-JEMC the ex Air Winsconson/United Express machine was finished at SEN this week and is due to pos’n to BLK shortly back to Emerald Airways Engineering, and the first Shorts 360 G-JEMX (re-registration of SSWX) is in the SEN hanger for painting! This is due to leave Monday for CVT or BLK (TBC).
Rumours are currently indicating that it may not be too long before we see a HS748 in the new colours, possably G-BGMN which is a BOH based machine for the present moment, although i believe this is set to change.
I quite like the scheme and have seen both the designs and the actual painted ATP pics, but can’t distribute for the time being!

actually it was as said previously an internal competition. I think the reason that the came up with something so simple was the fact that Emerald ain’t a huge company, and i believe it was rumoured to cost around £25,000 per ATP (5 so far… more to come) for the repaint. Add to this the fleet of SD-360s that will be getting the repaint, and then some (pritty sure not all) of the 748s will be getting a new coat of paint the cost keeps creaping up and up…

yep thats it – the angle of the pic doesn’t do it any justice really – there is the same motife and EMERALD AIRWAYS on the forward fuselage. I have to agree with too much white to – once the ngineers get there hands on it it will be filthy. Will be moved to BLK later in the week. It was the winner of an internal competition and was actually designed by one of the pilots.
