Hi
just wonderd what we might see in 2004 at airshows
Maybe
The Bucc at Scampton
The RNHF Sea Hawk
The Shack from USA
Concord
A Gannet

The DHA engineers are very busy at the moment with keeping the display jets serviceable, and carrying out a service on a pair of JPs. I suspect once the season is finished the MiG 17 will be rescued and work will re-start. Completion by the end of the year would indeed be possible, they have a good team down there.

Looking forward to the Sea Fury next year. It is such a shame we never got to see the Firefly with the Sea Fury. Some may have before, though i never had the chance (too young). *sigh* RIP Bill and Neil.
When I was four I remember seeing the Sea Hawk, Sea Fury T.20 and Firefly fly together at Yeovilton. Such a shame that the formation will not be repeated ever again. 🙁

Hopefully we’ll see one of the Tempests and/or the P38 Lightning that’s supposed to be coming to the Fighter Collection.

Andrewman, don’t hold your breath waiting for a gannet or a buccaneer to appear on the airshow circuit in this country

On a positive note, we may see TFC’s P-51C (or not lol!)
Would love to see the shack again (last time i saw one, must have been mildenhall ’91).

Regards the MiG 17, if you are meaning the one at Hurn, it is currently stored in a corner of the DHA hangar with only egg whisks for close company 😮
I wouldn’t be surprised if it does appear next year though, externally she looks sound.
Looking forward to seeing the Sea Hawk, Swordfish II and indeed the Sea Fury next season, they will be a perfect tribute for Bill and Neil.
