I had not been to Heathrow since February as I was waiting for some nice Autumn sunshine. So nice was the light on my first visit, I actually went a second time in week! Here’s the edited highlights from the two days I spent there – the full set is on my flickr.
First I’ll start with some of the Americans:
The American Airlines fleet: First a 767-300 in the new livery:

And the AA 777-300ER departing Runway 27L:

An old school AA 767:

Next, American allies – an El Al 747 which has previously evaded me!

Moving away, now a very nice (and very new) TAM 767:

Now some 787s – managed to miss the BA ones both times!
First visit to Heathrow for Qatar’s latest newsest 787 (at least at the time!)

China Southern (very nice livery):

Followed in by the Air India 787 from Delhi. The 777-300ER flight from Mumbai will also be replaced by the 787 next year:

Thanks Mr Merry, rab5869, Culpano and EGTC.
Culpano – Could not agree more – well worth waiting for! Good luck with the weather around Christmas and with getting the TAM 767… Should be around for a few more years yet as it isn’t even a couple of years old!

Lovely 🙂

Isn’t Heathrow wonderful when the light is like this. Stonking shots. I hope to get similar light when I am there over Christmas. Stunning set. TAM 767 with winglets – if I see another one of those on this forum….

Thanks, AA livery is a big improvement, but something seems amiss I can’t put my finger on it.
