Hapag Lloyd Express have stopped serving dublin this month, this is a great shame as they gave the place a bit of variety,i’m not sure why they didn’t continue as i don’t think they had direct competition on their service out of DUB,things aren’t looking good for DUB in terms of foreign carriers,Aer Lingus & Ryanair are just too strong, they’ve forced many carriers to reduce their services to just summer(finnair, alitalia) or out altogether (bmibaby,go,air wales). From a spotter/photographer point of view it’s a disaster,a constant flow of ryanair & aer lingus is in store for summer,i’ll be seeing green & blue all day long:mad:

I can see where Gary is coming from. Thomsonfly dropped their Doncaster flight just after FR started the route. Other dropped routes include IB to BCN although it will now be operated by clickair.
Air Malta are apparently dropping their MLA-DUB flight although they were only one weekly.

Ryanair also started a service to cardiff helping finish air wales.
Not the case. Ryanair operated the DUB-CWL route long before Air Wales came along.

i was giving those examples to show the trend over the past few years of carriers being muscled out, like go were by ryanair, way before go was anything to do with easyjet.Ryanair also started a service to cardiff helping finish air wales.

HLX loads into DUB were quite good. The reason they stopped was because of Ryanairs daily flight to Karlsruhe Baden-Baden which is about 1.5 hours from Stuttgart.
Karlsruhe in itself has a huge population and with FR fares HLX just werent going to survive.
We have Centralwings starting a new route next week to SZZ I cant spell the full name so it isnt all doom and gloom for foreign carriers at DUB.
