Monarch have just launched the biggest ever advertising campaign we’ve ever done. As others have pointed out, this is in the national press, on 88 taxis, various busses, trains, trams, billboards etc etc etc around the country. Obviously, these mobile adverts are concentrated in the catchment areas we serve.

There was a very good Monarch advert in The Times the same day that Ryanair unveiled their “Low Cost Revolution” announcing that Monarch have been leading the low cost revolution for the last 20 years and various other rather amusing Ryanair put downs.

Very ingenious, well informed, and quick acting 😉

Does Monarch not sell a lot of flights through travel agencies (package deals)? That makes advertising unnecessary, since most seats are sold in advance to the agencies. Any seat sold seperately is merely icing on the cake. Same goes for all charter airlines.

Why would Monarch advertise in Southampton when it isn’t one of their main bases?
