Today’s aircraft fleet is small, ageing and expensive. RAF manpower is insufficient,
and all aircraft fleets (transport, combat, reconnaissance, air tankers, etc.) have been
at least halved – with the MoD now trying to cancel the final tranche of Typhoon
fighters.
