Farmers and growers around the globe have one thing in common, they are good people when they are producing enough food for the population, right up to the point where supply out strips demand, then they are bad people, just making money, and taking handouts, as if it were they that introduced the legislation.

Was it Roosevelt that said ” Farmers are the only people that buy everything retail, sell everything wholesale, and still have to make a profit” ?

With the world’s population ever growing….
I have a hunch that in the not so distant future well be paying a lot more attention to the subject of food. These people have done wonders, and have received very little recognition or acclaim. Everyone just assumes that food production will always increase.

These researchers are the unsung heros of the world…we can live without Bill Gate’s software and various jets, but we can’t live witout food.

If we ever get to a critical point, a food shortage will put petrol shortages and global warming concerns into perspective.

RIP Mr. Borlaug

A truly genius man who completely served for the betterment of society.

He was called ‘aandata’ or the ‘food saint’ in India when his techniques helped countries like India and Pakistan quadruple there food production between 1970 and 1990.

A perfect example of someone who actually worked for all of us.

RIP Mr. Borlaug.
