The 2013 Air Britain Fly-In was (true to tradition) rather subdued by wind and rain, but was still a great success. Organised by the Stansted Branch of Air Britain and hosted by The Squadron, the event featured a lot of activity from based and visiting warbirds.
Longest journey to the Fly-In was by this Swiss Mooney M20E:
Perhaps the shortest trip (from Stapleford) was by this ex Botswana Bulldog:
The Hangar 11 collection was very busy:
The based Skyraider was engine running both days:
The RNHF Sea Fury T.20 arrived from Manston on Saturday and returned to Yeovilton on Sunday:

Thanks Dave. Good to see that some Mooneys turned up to support Air Britain. I don’t suppose the crosswind worried the Bulldog as I read somewhere that they can take up to a 35kt crosswind.

great shots guys. David, are the aircraft in the background of your first photo airworthy….
Sadly, no. A DC-4 and a C-54, both unflown since arrival for a film project in September 2002

Good stuff. I had hoped to fly in but the grandkids arrived. Any more photographs of the visiting stuff please?
