No, it’s G-BARS, owned by John Beattie who flew the Nimrod in from Duxford.

Oh dont he owns Kennet aviation

Thanks Yak 11 I remember there being a Cat at Lee on Solent but I did not know it moved to North Weald or its that one in the shot.

Shame you dont see many JPs and Strikemasters at airshows could make a display team out off them, What did it come here for then the Catalina as I not seen it on the airshow circuit or fly that sad about the Douglas DC4 and C54 is it Aces high that owns them??

Lee have the RNHF got a new chippy or just borrowed one

James

The Catalina is the old Greenpeace aircraft that came across (from Europe) for maintenance by Plane Sailing at Duxford soon after they lost their first Cat, after a wile at Duxford it went to Lee on Solent and is now at North Weald.

Thanks James,

There are numerous airworthy JPs and Strikemasters at Weald, the Catalina is due to ferried back to US at some stage, the poor old Douglas DC4 and C54 are up for sale but as far as I know haven’t had an engine run for many years now.

Very nice set from this local show.
The white clouds on blue make a nice backdrop for the statics.
Thanks for sharing.
