North Weald Flyin

Hello fellow forum members from a ‘first time’
We left North Weald at 3.00pm, Sunday and noted a red Proctor / Miles Gull type on finals as we joined the M11. Would like to know the reg.

Steve got there first with the answer. I have to say that I am not a member, but that is no bar to attending their events. Very well organised, with the help of The Squadron, and very few restrictions on where you could stand to take photos!

Lets hope that the Flypast team take note and offer the same.

Moggy, if you were still a Reggie Spotter, you would find Air Britain publications most useful. Who, what, where, when. The company finds them most useful for it’s line of business.

Air Britain

Air Britain is THE leading aviation historians society, probably in the World, and was formed in 1948. It has several thousand members and produces some outstanding publications, etc, etc.

Doughnut,

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is “Air Britain”?

The name seems to have been around for as long as I can remember, but I’ve never been clear as to what it represents. Is it a magazine or a club?

RE: North Weald Flyin

It was G-AFAX a BA Eagle 2, as featured in this months Flypast.

Personally I had a fairly good day as I managed to speak to a few people I hadn’t seen for a while, however the lack of aircraft was a little disappointing, but I guess the weather played a big part in that.
