Northrop Grumman wants to talk to the UK about FCAS!!

http://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/northrop-grumman-sizes-up-uk-ucav-requirements-403508/

So they aren’t trying to sell the X47B or derivatives just want the UK to think about what is required to be successful in the big UCAV mission….?

I think I need help here.

What are NG saying? Are they concerned that the USN won’t get them where they want to go with the programme? Are they saying that BAE don’t have what it takes to be successful (what business is it of theirs?)?

Or are they simply saying that they have spent lots of time working on this problem so shouldn’t be ignored?

I have also read that Taranis is generally thought to be more of a finished article in terms of VLO design than the X47B.

Help?
